Podcast: Cajuns Lacrosse Wins LSA Div II Crown

On Sunday, April 24, the Ragin’ Cajuns Lacrosse team defeated the University of Texas at Dallas to become the Lone Star Alliance Division II champions.

The Cajuns, 12-4 on the season, now have a shot at becoming one of the 16 teams invited to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse national championship in California. Although the Lone Star Alliance does not have an automatic bid this year, senior Cajuns attackman Nick Midboe said the team did what they could this past weekend to show they belonged in the national tournament.

Midboe and junior attackman Tanner Castagna, who combined for 115 of the team’s points on the season, joined Garrett Ohlmeyer to talk about the how this season differed from other seasons.

I am the sports editor for The Vermilion. I love sports, and while I don't play anything at UL Lafayette, I did play lacrosse and the physically grueling sport of bowling in high school. You can always find me wearing sweet socks and trying to perfect my dad jokes.
