The University of Louisiana at Lafayette School of Architecture and Design (SOAD) hosted the annual SOAD Fashion Show at the Acadiana Center for the Arts this spring. First-year students majoring in architecture, interior design and industrial design displayed their creative skills on the runway, and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Now, this isn’t your typical fashion show the school of Architecture put on. The designers for this show weren’t able to make their clothes out of usual fabric. Instead of using typical fabric, the designers were put to the test to see how creative they are by creating clothing out of hardware or recyclable objects like: soda cans, plastic, cardboard, and whatever else they could get their hands on that was out of the ordinary.
Amelia Landreneau, a freshman studying architecture participated in the SOAD fashion show. She said that even though the fashion show was a rigorous project she definitely benefited from it
Congratulations and job well done to the designers and models for a fabulous event it is definitely on for the books!
