Dan Boudreaux – Editor
I’m Dan Boudreaux, the editor of Ragin’ Wire. I’m a senior journalism student, a fantasy writer, a stand up comedian with 10+ years of experience, an avid gamer and a rabid reader.
Kailey Broussard – Assistant Editor
I’m a Ragin’ Wire editor in my second year of j-school. You can find me at your local coffee shop writing articles, short stories and last-minute satire for either The Vermilion or my own site, The White Elephant. Additionally, I’m terrible at product placement.
Karley Nugent – Social Media Editor
I’m a senior in journalism and an aspiring photographer. Currently, I’m a photographer for The Vermilion. I’m passionate about the national parks (especially Yellowstone) and am an avid explorer and hiking addict. My main goal in life is to be either a photojournalist for National Geographic or the National Park Service (you know, assuming they have those). Also, I missed picture day.
Leah Cavalier – Reporter
My name is Leah Cavalier and I am a journalism student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I have experience working in both a professional and a student-driven environment. I spent last summer writing for The Daily Iberian in New Iberia. I am a reporter and the design editor at the student newspaper, The Vermilion.
Kendrick Cooper – Reporter
My name is Kendrick Cooper (K.C.) and I am a senior journalism student minoring in English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I take the picture, then I write the story. Coffee keeps me sane, and I wish I could snap images by blinking.
Jalen Greenhouse – Reporter
My name is Jalen Greenhouse and I am a 21-year-old journalism who is in tune with sports and politics! I love writing and reading. It takes me into a different world.
Garrett Ohlmeyer – Reporter
I am the sports editor for the Vermilion. I love sports and although I don’t play anything at UL Lafayette, I did play lacrosse and the physically grueling sport of bowling in high school. You can always find me wearing sweet socks and trying to perfect my dad jokes.
Heather Osbourne – Reporter
I’m a senior journalism major from New Orleans. I’m currently interning with the Acadiana Advocate and hope to one day travel the world writing for National Geographic Traveler magazine. When I’m not striving to meet my daily deadline, relaxing at coffee shops, hammocking, hiking, kayaking or any other hipster activity is what fills my free time.
Olatunde Soyombo – Reporter
I possess an eclectic social, academic and professional background and complement the teamwork of my peers in their quest to achieve professionalism and excellence in journalism and communication.
Chelsea Yaeger – Reporter
I’m a sophomore journalism major at UL Lafayette. I’m interested in culture, justice, living and growing up and out. As much as I love exploring, I’m totally a homebody. If you’re looking for me, I’m probably at home studying for the LSAT under a well-worn quilt with a flashlight and my cat, Mushka. I speak three and a half languages, and yet, I’m still have trouble articulating who I am in this bio.
