Princess Bolden – Hi, my name is Princess Bolden. Yes, that’s my real name (I get that question often). I am a junior at UL Lafayette studying journalism with a minor in English. When I am not writing for Ragin’ Wire, I enjoy reading and writing poetry, hanging out with friends and shopping. In my free time, I also enjoy adventures to art museums, nature trails and other interesting places.
Brooklyn Fields-Meaux – My name is Brooklyn Fields-Meaux. I am a junior majoring in journalism with a minor in Spanish. I am also a part of an extended orientation called SOUL Camp. When I am not writing for Ragin’ Wire, I am either running, painting or being a complete goofball.
Aaron Gonsoulin – Hey guys, my name is Aaron Gonsoulin, and I’m a journalism major at UL Lafayette. I currently work at The Vermilion as their web editor as well as a news writer, and I also freelance at The Daily Iberian. After I graduate, I plan on earning my teacher’s certification.
Brianne Hendricks – My name is Brianne Hendricks, and I am a non-traditional student who has aspirations of becoming a feature writer and desk editor for a digital magazine. I am married, 30 and looking to further myself by finishing my dual degree in English and journalism. I am also a rabid fan of “Game of Thrones.”
Kyasia Hunt – My name is Kyasia Hunt, and I am a senior that graduates next semester. I am a self-starting, goal-oriented person who seeks a career in the field of journalism. I look forward to writing news stories and making my writing better. I also want to become a news anchor.
Chazmyne Jackson – My name is Chazmyne Jackson, and I am a senior majoring in journalism. I currently write for a local magazine and have an interest in writing about politics. I served in the U.S. military for 8 years. In my spare time, I write fantasy/fiction and hope to publish a book series. I also enjoy going to comic cons and cosplaying.
Erineka Johnson – My name is Erineka Johnson. I am currently a senior majoring in broadcasting with a minor in English. I enjoy reading and writing. My favorite singer is Beyonce.
Charlie Long – Hi, my name is Charlie Long, and I’m a junior journalism major. I’m a sportswriter for The Vermilion, the student newspaper at UL Lafayette. I’ve mostly done stories on the Ragin’ Cajuns football, baseball and basketball teams over the past two years. I currently enjoy doing a weekly radio show and podcast on UL Athletics with my editor and friend Louis Prejean. I’m also a big fan of movies, and I like to create lists of my favorite films every year.
Claire Lyon – Hey guys, my name is Claire Lyon. I’m originally from Mire, Louisiana. I’m a 21-year-old junior majoring in journalism and minoring in art history. I hope to one day have the opportunity to combine my love of writing with my love of art. If all else fails, maybe I’ll have a Netflix comedy special.
Cameron Minnard – My name is Cameron Minnard, and I am a young journalism student who was born in New York City but spent my life in New Orleans. I spent my first two years of college studying environmental science at Baylor University. I’m a former supbar rugby player and a current music aficionado.
Louis Prejean – My name is Louis Prejean, and I am from Lafayette, Louisiana. I have always had a passion for writing since I was 8 years old. I tried to write a novel at that time, but I got lazy. I was 8. I love writing and talking about sports, which doesn’t make me fun at parties. I’m also an award-winning artist after winning a 5th grade drawing contest, and I got to ride on top of a firetruck.
Heidi Thevis – My name is Heidi Thevis, and I am a senior majoring in journalism with a minor in French. As the editor of Ragin’ Wire, I am excited to be meeting new people through the eyes of my writers. When I am not editing, I am hanging out with my cat, obsessing over Disney and llamas, and working at UL Lafayette Foundation as their Communications Specialist.
Spencer Urquhart – Hi, my name is Spencer Urquhart, and I’m a journalism major at UL Lafayette. I have a passion for sports, and my goal is to make a career out of it and become a sports writer. I’m currently working for The Daily Advertiser covering high school sports and have enjoyed it so far. In my free time, I like to play basketball, listen to music and go fishing.
